Very interesting. I can understand his point. Nowadays, death is so trivialized. We watch people die all the time on TV and act like its nothing. It would be horrible and wrenching to watch someone die just for the publics amusement but shit, don't do that everyday? I think that disgust we feel is more our own guilt for making something sacred into something tawdry.

You know, as disturbing and objected-to as it is, I bet finds somebody who do it. And bet his show is a hit.

but see, tv isnt REAL.. watching someone "die" on tv is not nearly the same as watching a real person die in front of you for "Art"... in tv the "dead" person can get up and walk away after the director yells "cut!" and everyone knows that.

i really hope the sick fuck doesnt find someone to do it.. i certainly know i wouldnt ever wanna see it.

The reality or fantasy of TV death is not the issue; its how death is treated. He is pointing out our insensitivity to death, so, I think, to make people aware of it he is gonna give everyone the biggest, realest dose of it you can get. Watchin' someone die in front of your eyes; no scripts, no "cut!", no happy ending.
